What transistors have around a 2-3v turn on

Thank you!
I'm trying to make some LEDs blink to the music right from the speaker to make a cool LED show.
Would/should I use transistors, MOSFITS or something else?
I plan on just using transistors should campasistors be used too, I don't really know
but what would the scamitic look like?

please help!!
Thanks!

In what way do you want the LEDs to blink? How are you thinking of connecting them up to the sound source?

In reply to the title all bipolar transistors turn on a 0.7V.

In reply to the body:-

Just put your LED and resistor in place of the solenoid.

It depends on how complicated you want to make it.

You can get LED driver chips that do it quite easily:

eg. KA2284 for sale | eBay

should campasistors be used too

I don't think campasistors are due to be invented until sometime next decade.
