Hi I'm trying to install DUE from this guide:
after this step:
"Navigate to the folder with the Arduino IDE you downloaded and unzipped earlier. Locate and select the “Drivers” folder in the main Arduino folder (not the “FTDI USB Drivers” sub-directory). Press “OK” and “Next” to proceed. "
Windows just saying the best driver already installed and does not give any other option.
Anybody know how to install the driver?
where is the device showing up in the device tree? You can delete it, then rescan for devices, right click it, click update driver software and then make sure you don't choose have windows search for a driver and instead browse. Point at the drivers subdirectory and uncheck the "search all sub-directories" option. It still shows up as a COM port under the serial devices tree. I've also found the IDE to be a little flaky at finding it. You also need to make sure you have the right board selected before you go looking for the com port in the IDE menu.

What is the Hardware ID for the Unknown Device in device manager?
Go to Device Manager
Right Click Unknown Device in Device Manager
Select Properties
Select Details tab
Change Property to Hardware Ids
What is displayed under Value?
USB/UNKNOWN
The system is having a problem reading the USB descriptors from the DUE.
Some things to check:
Try a different USB cable.
Does your system have USB 3.0 ports? If so, try a USB 2.0 port.
Does is make a difference if you use the programming USB port vs. native USB port on the DUE?
