Explanation about schematic - grounds

Hello,

I am a newbie to Electronics but I am trying to design my own board on the Eagle CAD software and I noticed that the GSM shield schematic has all ground connections named AGND which differs from the normal Arduino boards' schematics (all have just "GND"). Is this just some name convention or shall I take special care about what is AGND and GND? Many thanks.

Greetings

Just use GND.
Create a polygon that overlaps the board slightly, Name it GND.
Repeat for the other side of the board.
After autorouting, may need to add some vias, also Name them GND, to connect the 2 layers together.

Ok, thank you. I'll try that

cheers

There is no try, there is only do or not do.
Or something like that.
