Expanding MIDI Shield or Alternatives? (to make small midi controller)

Hi Everyone,

Im a little new to all this but...

I was looking at the 'MIDI shield' which has 3 buttons and 2 knobs and will trigger a total of 5 notes.

Has anyone come across a different shield or know of a way that i could have a similar set up (using buttons and knobs) but more off them? Ideally something like 8 buttons and 4 knobs controlling different notes?

This MIDI breakout board/shield will give you full MIDI inout and output leaving all the analog and digital pins to use for knobs (up to 6) and buttons (up to 12 easily, 36 with a little work).
