I'd like to make a variant of the mini board that has 2 single row std pitch sockets for an Xbee (or Pro). It would also have a separate pair of socket connectors that would accept either a mini USB programmer, or the UB232R Mini FT232RQ board from FTDI.
Since this would be my 1st board layout, I wanted to reference the mini pcb layout. I can't seem to find the mini board layout anywhere.
If anyone could point me out to where it might be, I'd be appreciative.
It would also be great if someone could point me to some single row sockets that don't cost $4 each. I don't want to solder the Xbee to my custom boards.
For the curious - I'm working on a garage door opener remote that also serves as a home alarm remote. I'm making a custom board (in lieu of using the mini) because I need to make at least 3 remotes and at $36 each, the minis get expensive. Plus, I need everything running off 3V, not 5.
Thanks!
