If the dongle presents itself as one of the standard HID devices, it might not take too long to get something useful out of it. As they claim that the dongle "requires no custom drivers", that would suggest it is a standard class compliant device. Downloading the SDK might well reveal some useful information. There is a free 'lite' version, but it requires registration.
