Greetings all,
I've been poking around a bit for information regarding using an Arduino as a floppy controller.
I would like to be able to insert a floppy, have it wipe it with random data, format and verify.
I've seen plenty of data regarding salvaging motors and such but nothing regarding actually reading/writing a floppy.
Perhaps I must employ an old floppy controller chip, that I could salvage from an old pc or something.
The reasoning comes from the electrical cost of running a computer for the sole purpose of doing this job (ie the electricity my outweigh the value of the discs).
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
