Controlling Multiple Servos

I plan on creating a servo robotic arm using arduino. Since it cannot handle six servos I know I have to use another power supply. If I was to get a 6v power supply how would I go about hooking it everything up. Would I connect the positive ends on the servos to the positive terminals of the battery then the grounds of the battery and arduino get connected together correct? Lastly the signal of a servo get connected to a pin on arduino? Is this correct? If I do this would I be able to control all the servos using the arduino board?

Yes.

Connect up the high current wiring first, then have a single path linking the motor
ground to arduino ground - you don't want high currents travelling through the Arduino
board.

The Servo library supports upto 12 servos on an Uno and similar, and 48 on a Mega.

Basic servo wiring.

That diagram is legend, zoomkat do you have a copywrite?
