Controlling Arduino 101 with smartphone thru Simblee

Good Morning to all,

I have a project in my mind, and I would like the feasibility of it before buying the parts.

The idea is to control an Arduino 101 I am using as data logger for a motorcycle with the smartphone.

The 101 already has the BLE module and with the nRF Connect app I already start and stop it, but the interface is quite bad.

I was thinking about using a Lilypad Simblee to:

  • Use Simblee interface to control the logger. With this I mean to use the Simblee app for the smartphone and then pass the control to the 101, but this I am not sure if it is possible.

  • Expand the logger, taking the lean value and sending to the Lilypad a signal that lights three LED (green, yellow and red) on the helmet to indicate the lean angle.

My question is, are the things I'm looking for possible?.

Just to clarify the questions.

Question 1: Is it possible to link Lilypad Simblee to the 101 and the smartphone an use it as control of the 101?

Question 2: Is it possible to send from the 101 a BLE signal to the Simblee to control LEDs?

Thanks to all, Manuel.
