Need help im some kinda noob on programming i have parts what i should to need and even know how it should to work .... my idea is use laser distance sensor to keep same z distance on work piece on laser carver but like i say i dont cant make the code :((( here is my parts list in wiring is different laser sensor helping others give u karma++ i would help too if someone ask
So you expect someone to make the code for you when they don't even know what you even want to make
start with simple projects
I'm a new guy too
and all I'm doing now is sensing and displaying information
what do you even want to do
it's like you're giving homework to people
and grammar...
while(newtoarduino=TRUE){execute simpler.projects;)

I agree with your idea but do you really want to set newtoarduino to TRUE
Does the laser distance sensor have a part number or datasheet?
Does it have a minimum range? I ask because light moves 300m per microsecond.

It's more likely to be a parallax unit, rather than time-of-flight.
Geometry to the rescue!
I had to look that one up to see how they do it, the Parallax Inc units have a camera and use a Propeller MCU to analyze the image. It's kind of a new thing then, since 2000?
No, I was thinking parallax, (no capital P, no Propellor) industrial laser displacement sensors have been around longer than that.
The Parallax (company name) unit may be an improved model.
