I would like to share with you this project: FABtotum
It's an Arduino-powered reprap-derived 3d printer with ALSO 3d/4d milling and 3d scanning capabilities in a small box.
It has been developed to push forward personal fabrication, making it flexible enought (and cheap) for everyone!
with this machine you can scan and print duplicates of solid objects, create new objects with foams or modeling clay and scan them for further editing in a modeling software of choice, or print them in additive mode or cut/mill in subtractive mode.
Or send them to a friend so he can duplicate it.
