Arduino ESC USB Crash
Sep 23, 2013, 08:31 am
Hello,
I am using Arduino Uno to run a brushless motor using ESC. I am controlling the speed of the motor speed by USB serial.
The hookup works the motor is spinning BUT very OFTEN happens that Arduino IDE is crashing while motor is working and I can no longer access the USB port until I reboot the PC.
I am using version 1.0.5, any ideas how to solve the crashing problem?

Without your wiring schematic, which you should really show us when having problems, I can only guess that you lack a flyback diode, resulting in noise that is adversely affecting both Arduino and your PC.

Thank you Shpaget, I have a simple wiring. Ground from ESC to Arudino card and control wire from ESC to Digital 10#.

Can you please recommend how to install flyback diode?
