Topic: Mismatch of windows drivers for arduino zero (Read 104 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi,
I just received two new arduino zeros. I have tried to install them using windows 10, windows 7 and ubuntu, and I can't upload or even burn the bootloader. I have tracked the issue to the drivers. After the installation step where you are supposed to point manually to the drivers folders, Windows fails to find the driver. The arduino-org.inf file has the following line:

%zero_pro.edbg.name%=DriverInstall, USB\VID_03EB&PID_2111&MI_01

However, when I search for the hardware ID of EDBG Data gateway, I get:

USB\VID_03EB&PID_2111&MI_03

I have even tried to edit the .inf file and changed the 1 to a 3. Windows did "recognize" and install a driver, but I got other errors when uploading which leads me to believe that was not the appropriate driver.

Thank you.

PS: I have, of course, used different ports, machines and usb cables, and made sure the cables were properly connected into the zeros.
