MP3 Trigger V2, PIR & Arduino

Hi newby looking for some help with a project.

I have the Robertsonics MP3 Trigger linked through the Arduino outputting from digital pin 13 (Ard) to trigger 1 (MP3) and a Parallax PIR outputting to pin 3.

I need the PIR to detect movement and play one song for the full 10 minutes of the track without skipping or restarting then continue playing if movement is still detected.

Attached is the code im using at the moment but the audio restarts every so often back at the start of the track, its my first time using the Arduino and am a bit lost and feel its going to be a big learning curve.

My code that ive borrowed to base my project on

  • Switches a LED according to the state of the sensors output pin.
  • Determines the beginning and end of continuous motion sequences.

  • The Parallax PIR Sensor is an easy to use digital infrared motion sensor module.
  • The sensor's output pin goes to HIGH if motion is present.
  • However, even if motion is present it goes to LOW from time to time,
  • which might give the impression no motion is present.
  • This program deals with this issue by ignoring LOW-phases shorter than a given time,
  • assuming continuous motion is present during these phases.
