Somebody have worked with this modules? (433Mhz RF Link Kit)
I'm trying to optimize the distance range. What kind of antennas have you used? (dipole, helix, etc..) and how have you used those? (with or without ground plane?, whit ground plane connected to the ground of the system?, etc...). How far have you reached? I know that the distance depends on the power supply of the module. I have 7.4 v.

I get the maximum distance is 80m in open air with 12V power supply, although the supplier said that it can work with 9V at max 200m ...

? am trying to use this module but ? could not receive any data
from the transmitter. can you help me about this.... ? tried to use virtualwire library and it's examples with a 17.3 cm antenna but
could not receive data on the receiver side.

i configured the same boards, sketchs.....but i still can't get anything on the receiver side.
I bought two transmitter/receiver ( so 2 rx and 2 tx) from seeedstudio.
It's written 433 on all 4 parts. They are meant to work together because they are sold together.
I can't believe that they are broken, probably i'm making something wrong.
I tried to connect pin12 from transmitter to pin11 from receiver..........and happily it works,
so i guess i can say that the software is ok. They concerning the wiring i have 0 and 5V on the rx and tx.
What else ?

dear friend I bought the same 433 Mhz modules and tried them on a pic circuit they work very well, there is no
problem but the receiver and transmitter do not meet arduino.. finally ? decide to try the modules saperately
with an arduino transmitter and pic receiver / pic transmitter and arduino receiver...? will try that idea soon.
for the antenna question the antenna can be 17 cm it is because of the radio wave's wave lenght
it can be calculated like this
(wave lengt) = (speed of light) / (transmitter frequency)
and then
(antenna lenght) may be (wave lengt)/2 or (wave lengt)/4 or (wave lengt)/8 or (wave lengt)/16 .......
wave lenght (meter) = 310^8 (meter/sec) / 43310^6 (1/sec) = 0.6928 meter =69.28 cm
and also can be 69.82/2=34.64 cm , 69.82/4=17.32 cm ....
