Low Voltage RGB LED Strips

Using Arduino LEDs and Multiplexing

Hello,

I am building LED hoops and thus far I have been hand soldering RGB LEDs with speaker wire and I am looking for low-voltage (3-5V) premade RGB LED strips to make the process simpler. If anyone could direct me I would much appreciate the help.

WS2812B LED strips available on eBay and Amazon and elsewhere. Runs off 5V power supply.

The only snag about using them is if you want to use the persistence of vision to switch them rapidly, then the multiplexing tends to interfere. Are these hoops going to move? If so use the so called "dot star" strips.
