Given the usefulness of being able to see the commands being issued to the compiler/uploader, can we consider making verbosity a menu item, perhaps a checkbox under tools "Display compiler output" or so?
It would be off by default, but reflects and updates the verbose properties in the preferences.txt file (just OR the build and upload together for the checkbox value initially)
I would rather see them as one option than two and not have to explain where the preferences file is located when debugging an install. It should be easier to use that way for new users. Lot easier to say "go to tools and turn on 'compiler output'" than what we have now.
