Topic: Photoresistor missing in Arduino Starter Kit (Read 256 times) previous topic - next topic

So today i got myself the Arduino starter kit, and the first thing i checked was if all the contents were there. They weren't. There were only five photoresistors(or LDR's, whatever you call them) instead of the promised six. Is there any way i can ask Arduino to send me a sixth photoresistor? Thanks in advance!

You need to go to the STORE section and use the form available there.

Here is a quick link for you

It may not be the answer you were looking for but its the one I am giving based on either experience, educated guess, google or the fact that you gave nothing to go with in the first place so I used my wonky crystal ball.

Just curious, why don't you have a user name?

SanderM2001

pert i don't know :D .  I gave SanderM2001 as my username, but Arduino doesn't seem to do anything with it.

Ballscrewbob thanks for the link! But i need to give an order number, but i didn't buy my starter kit on the arduino shop, but on a site named conrad.nl Do you have a clue what the next step could be?

How about contacting conrad.nl?
Ah, this is obviously some strange usage of the word 'safe' that I wasn't previously aware of. (D.Adams)

That would mean i should probably return the kit. Not exactly waiting for that... I will probably fill in the form Ballscrewbob meant and give it a try.

Try talking to the conrad.nl people, I'm quite shure they will come up with a solution (like sending you a photoresistor...).

Thanks for your response Whandall! Conrad is actually sending me a photoresistor! Thank you so much!

Whandall

It's the cheapest solution to keep the customer satisfied, glad to hear it worked out.

Cheapest way indeed. Postage probably cost an order of magnitude more than the replacement LDR. (yes, that's right, 20 pcs shipped for 99 cents)
