I just downloaded the TVout Beta from the google code site (here)
I hooked up the schematic and loaded the demo... and nothing. My RCA cable is fine, I checked it with my multimeter continuity and its fine.
It seems like my TV knows that the arduino is connected, though...
If I unplug the RCA cord, I get a full black screen on Video 2 (my arduino).
If I plug it in and load the sketch, I get a black square with grey borders...
My computer is a bit unorganized (especially my downloads folder). So when I downloaded the zip file for the beta, I actually unzipped the old TVout library...
Well it took me so long yesterday to figure out I had the wrong code that I really didn't do anything. But today I'm thinking of hooking of my nunchuck and using the accelerometer to control a dot on the screen...
I'll tell you if it works.
Using a nunchuk with TVout is possible, but you need to be aware that nunchuk communication is normally done using I2C, which utilizes interrupts. Interrupts firing during TV rendering interferes with the timing, so you need to use a different approach. I wrote a Controllers library which allows nunchuk use by only performing I2C communication during the vertical blanking interval (VBI) when the screen is not being rendered. The Hackvision Controllers library is described here: Hackvision Game Development
