Yeah, it's a lot more expensive and has fewer actual components than some of the eBay kits, but the documentation and "curriculum" are likely to be a lot better (starting with "NOT non-existent!")
Adafruit has some similar kits, but they seem to be out-of-stock.
Sparkfun, Adafruit, and Arduino themselves are pretty much the short list of vendors I trust to do a good "beginner's kit."
