I want to make my own plug-in countdown timer switch using arduino because commercially available ones are not quite what I want. They are either too difficult to set time, have a limited time range, cannot set arbitrary time increment, or don't show remaining time.

The hardware components needed are
- arduino
- high current relay (20A 120V)
- project box
- display
- keypad
- power supply for arduino

Is there a kit that has these components nicely layout so I can focus on the programming?

I dont think you will find a kit with those specific components, but https://www.adafruit.com/category/203 has different kits available.. as well as https://www.sparkfun.com/categories/157 I mean you can buy the individual parts relatively inexpensive.

If you can wait on delivery ebay will be cheaper options for bulk purchases.. if you want them within a few days.. adafruit, sparkfun are pretty quick on delivery.
