Help me my idea project !!!

Hello all
i am a newbie for here.My project about sensor 2 sensors
My idea :
I use 2 light sensor detect person in-out opened room by install near stairs.
I define (1) light sensor = L1 and (2) light sensor = L2
when someone up stair to opened room L1 is HIGH and then L2 is HIGH I command light turn on

and when down stair L2 High and then L1 HIGH I command light turn off

which borad arduino is suitable my idea ?

Any one will do. They all are more than capable of supporting two sensors and two outputs.
