arduino developer, programmer needed one off project norfolk uk (paid work)

I am looking for someone to help develop a project which involves an arduino to perform serial capture, logging and storage with remote access via IP network. The devices spew data constantly which needs filtering/ converting to save only required elements then storing as comma separated text allowing the data to be imported to the clients chosen database or excel.

One device is a panasonic telephone system the other is a call system used in care homes for aged folk.

The decode information relating to the serial data coming out of the panasonic phone system should be available on the net as it is commonly used for hotel billing systems but the other is specialist and will not be available, it is not complicated and would be easily sniffed may take a day or so.

I would like for an individual to be able to enter the IP address of the arduino into their browser, get a web page which they can then validate with a login and download the file to their PC ready for import into their chosen program for analysis.

All the facilities and products are available here, I am looking for someone to come and work in our premises for the duration of the project on a one off basis. I would need to have a firm estimate of development cost prior to commencement. I would like to make this into a product in its own right with the potential for additional functions and possible email alerts under certain conditions.

Anyone upto the challenge and located local enough to be practical, hope so.

Many thanks Charles

I suspect a pico-ITX computer would be a better choice (about the same overall price; more storage; bit easier development; modern full featured operating system).

Any particular reason you're dictating the hardware choice?

well, in terms of the arduino its more of suggestion as I have one but time does not allow for me to develop my skills, also its so cost effective and small, open to suggestions it would be better to have expansion potential. There are other functions/ features I want it to have but want to focus on the mentioned logger as a starting product.

Seems to me that an SMDR logger would be better suited to more of a PC type environment and storing data into a database rather than comma delimited file, that way you can generate reports easier, see trends faster and still have the information available to the outside world via ethernet connectivity
