Title: imperfect sample code
Post by: conradin on Oct 29, 2012, 06:48 am
Hi all,
I was trying to compile sample Ethernet code from the page: http://arduino.cc/en/Reference/EthernetBegin
but it gave errors. I solved it, I had to include the library
#include <SPI.h>

to get the sample to work.
Should I post the webmaster about that?

It appears nobody has the time to maintain the website reference section. There are other errors and omissions that I have submitted months ago that have not been changed. It is a thankless job with nobody to thank.

I used to post the change requests in the forum, but when they were ignored, I started posting the change requests here:
http://code.google.com/p/arduino/

edit: Maybe the Arduino crew should set up that reference section in the user wiki. That way we could edit it.

Yes, please send a mail to the recently created mail address webmaster@arduino.cc with your notice.

Only in recent period Arduino has been empowered with staff dedicated to the website maintainance, so probably all (or at least most part...) of your alerts, suggestions and corrections will find an effective application within a reasonable interval of time.

Thanks for your feedback and your collaboration.
