Title: Arduino with Xbee series 2.
Post by: stefanosfok on Nov 15, 2012, 01:25 pm
Hi All,

I am trying to communicate with my Arduino wireless using Xbee Series 2(XB24-B). My system consists of an Arduino R3, an Ethernet Shield and an Xbee shield.
I am using the XCT-U to set up the Xbee but so far without any luck. I have followed several examples but still nothing.

My configuration is the following:
Coordinator:
XB24-B     and     ZNET 2.5 COORDINATOR AT
PAN ID ---> 1234
DH ----> 13A200
DL ---->  the SL from ROUTER/END Xbee
SH ----> 13A200
SL ----> the DL from ROUTER/END Xbee

Router/End Device:
XB24-B     and     ZNET 2.5 ROUTER/END DEVICE AT
PAN ID ---> 1234
DH ----> 13A200
DL ---->  the SL from COORDINATOR Xbee
SH ----> 13A200
SL ----> the DL from other COORDINATOR Xbee

Do you think that causes any problem using Arduino with Ethernet shield and Xbee shield ?
Does anyone know what are the settings to communicate the Xbee Series 2 modules?

Many Thanks!

You could always remove the Ethernet shield, until the XBees are talking, to eliminate that possibility.

With what hardware?

Thank you PaulS for your reply.

I have remove the Ethernet shield but still the same.

I am using an Xbee Explorer Dongle to configure the Xbee antenna's if I understand correctly your question.

How do you set SH and SL to the value of the other module? It's read-only and must be the own address of the module.
