Title: Announcing Project Surface - Arduino TUIO to USB Touch HID
Post by: shawnf on Mar 04, 2013, 10:23 am
Hopefully this is the right place for this...

I just want to let people know about project-surface.googlecode.com (http://project-surface.googlecode.com).
I used my Innovation Days at work to create a Windows 8 Touch Surface/PixelSense setup and used an Arduino MegaADK board with ethernet shield to handle the TUIO to USB Touch HID conversion.

pretty cool idea. Do you really need the macbook? is there a way you could process the image from the IR camera on your windows 8 PC? Or even something like OpenCV on a Raspberry pi or a Beagleboard?
not very practical if you need a whole macbook to drive the touch display.
