it may help us if you tell what kind of error you are getting!!!!!

@ johnwasser, Thanx i tried you suggestion and it worked for me smiley
Now  i am not getting average voltage at capacitors.I used capacitor of 1000uf (electrolytic), this value is too large so i want to replace it with 1-10uf (polyester) for that i calculated its charging time constant which is 0.2 ms for 1uf and 2ms for 10uf, i provided charging time 0.5 ms(for 1uf),and i didn't connected any load to this capacitors. Thus capacitor should hold charge for long time.(but i apply signal after every 0.5*8 channels=4 ms). Logically this should work but i am not getting expected results(practically value across capacitors oscillates from 0 to 2 volt for each channel). So anyone have any idea why is this happening???? smiley-confuse smiley-confuse

nope !!!! can this cause error, BTW i am trying it now. I will let you know the outcome!!!! thanx!!!!!!!

hi all,
i am using HEF4051 as  address decoder and to send analog voltage through that channel now what i am doing is to send address bit and after that some analog voltage to be sent in that channel. i need to use all the channel simultaneously so connected capacitors to hold the value for few milliseconds. i first send address bit after that analog voltage and then address of next channel and its analog value and keep on doing it in a loop. Thus all values get refreshed after a particular time interval.
Now my problem is that when i do so i didn't get the voltage retained by capacitors. After some efforts i got voltage to be retained but it is the average voltage of  the channels not the needed voltage, So can anyone explain this why is this happening and solution as well. thanx in advance!!!!!

finally, i got it right by making parallel programmer and using avr dude . i think during burning process arduino anyhow changes the fuse setting. because when i used avrdude for the first time it asked me change the fuse setting after changing fuse setting everything went smooth... reflashed the bootloader in 5 atmegas smiley-wink smiley-wink arduino is working ok for now. let's see what happens!!!!! thanks nishant for your help and encouraging words...

i re installed driver but no luck  smiley-sad smiley-sad

I don't understand that because if there was some problem with drivers or 8U2 firmware how it can burn the program first time??????
Still I am reinstalling drivers will let you know the outcome!!!!!

i burnt led blinking example given in examples..... I don't think there is any problem in code....as far as sketch size is concerned its size was 1108 bytes

i have seen that so many guys have same problem, still there is no solid solution for this problem!!!!!!!!!! I don't know whether to continue or give up..... coz in case if i buy one more IC stil may end up with same problem????? smiley-sweat smiley-roll-sweat

hi everyone, it might be very old problem may be some of you have solution for this problem....
i got my arduino R1 one month and burnt some programs and it worked fine after about a week all of sudden it started giving error"stk500_getsync() not in sync resp=0x00 arduino uno" .I tried every thing told in forums and troubleshooting so i thought i damaged my Atmega (loopback test turned out fine). so i ordered new bootloaded IC. i got my Atmega 2 days before and successfully burnt ledblinking program on first go, but as soon as i tried to burn other program again started getting same error. Previous program is still running on Atmega(Led is blinking). Now when i press reset button as long as i hold that led stops blinking and after leaving button it starts blinking as it was previously in the interval of 1 sec.Now i don't know what to do.I browsed through internet for long period tried everything told in various forums, nothing worked out for me. Now i am handicapped on this issue. smiley-cry smiley-cry smiley-cry

can you suggest some links/tutorials on how to use zigbee. that will be great help for me!!!!

@nishant first i wasn't able to upload avrisp  successfully and i tried to reset the board manually nothing helps!!!!!! smiley-roll-sweat smiley-roll-sweat

@nishant, well i didn't play with atmega 8u2 even if it was so how come it burnt the code first time.these days laptops have only ports for VGA cable RS 232 port can be created by using usb to serial converter. As far as my laptop model is concerned i am using "Compaq presario CQ62".For using ICSP header one need to have avr programmer which i don't have. Now I am in very bad situation as i have to complete my project in less than 10 days and i don't have any other option available. Can you explain what can go wrong in burning a program(i burnt led blinking program given in example). i think there is some problem with reset. let me explain in details when i got my new bootloaded ic, after connecting it to board when i pressed reset button led connected to pin 13 blinked 3 times(which should). after that i burnt the program in atmega and led started blinking in interval of 1 sec. after that i tried to burn other program(avrisp) which resulted in error. now when i press reset button nothing happens. only previous prgram(led blinking) keeps on running.now can you suggest any thing??????

I don't know what is wrong with arduino..... i got my new bootloaded ic ... connected that ATMGA in  arduono board successfully burnt first LED blinking program after that all of sudden started getting same error as before. "AVR DUDE NOT IN SYNC".......
