Yeah, but uses a mac mini for the face recognition, better to use a Raspi (with camera) for something like this.
3  Using Arduino / Audio / Re: Mic input and Speaker output using arduino, NOTHING ELSE on: April 13, 2014, 08:00:39 am
You can`t do it without some extra hardware to amplify the mic input.

If you could find a way to send custom Caller ID (this sent before the phone rings, I think) then the arduino could decode this, at most the phone would only need to ring once.

Unless it could sold as "not approved for connection with the public telephone network line" getout clause.

Very good project.
What do the voice commands do, and what did you use for that function, PC or Arduino?

120 Dollars for something that vibrates every five minutes?

And they sold out!, some people have too much disposable income!!

AtTiny85 + vibration motor + Ipod Nano watch strap = a lot less than $120!

Clones are almost always OK.  Best I can figure, they are made by the same people, same sweatshops that made the TV in your living room.

The same reasons that would suggest clones do not work OK, would apply equally to said TV.

(Yes, I've had to return an IKEA TV for exchange.)

IKEA TV??, was it flat-pack?  smiley-grin
