211  Using Arduino / General Electronics / Re: Can this damage my led? on: May 03, 2013, 11:27:54 am
I'm back for more help.

What's the problem?

BCxxx

Should be the common ones.  Pretty sure someone else will list some others.

@ codlink.. Yes because of it's softness and work-ability... Not much perhaps a mm or so per lead but real easy to ultrasonic weld.

Ah yes, I understand.  Thanks for the info.

Interesting.  What were they manufacturing with before? Gold?

Sweet!!  [pun intended]

I believe that is the best homebuilt robot I have ever seen.  Absolutely remarkable.

I would give you my credit card for a schematic and BOM of your CNC machine..  You could make a fortune off the plans alone.  I would be the first to purchase of course.

wut.

I have resistors that look like tiny pretzels from using them for breadboarding all the time.  I have never broke any leads..

So the Arduino DOES put out more than 40mA? (AWOL made me think otherwise smiley-razz)

It will put out more than 40 mA.  But you SHOULDN'T do it.  The longer you keep that LED lit, the more damage you are doing to the Arduino pin.  Eventually, that pin WILL stop working or even the whole Arduino.  It could last for an hour or a few days.

What you should be doing:

Ok, so what's your issue?

You do realize that this is an Arduino forum?  Might want to find a Processing forum..

Why don't post your code so we can see what you've done?

using the sketch

What sketch?

when i hold shift and upload it i get this     avrdude: usbdev_open(): did not find any USB device "usb"      how can i fix this ?

I am guessing you are using a programmer?  What programmer?  What version of the IDE?

The instructions are on Itead's site.  The same page where you select your options for the board.

Obviously, the newer versions.  That's why versions exist.  The older versions have bugs and mistakes.

OSH Park uses a US fab house.  Great quality, and usually a 2 week turn-around.

Don't need Gerbers either.  Just upload your brd file.
