Just an aside, but I was looking at doing a similar thing and found that you aren't allowed to use the term arduino without permission (as it's a trademark). From the arduino.cc web site:

you do not include the word "Arduino" (or derivatives thereof) in the name of your product, company, or domain name without permission

So you need to check with the domain in case you run into any problems.

I use Google Reader to view these forums, and it shows all new posts (as well as showing an archive of the old ones).

Only thing you can't do is to see replies, which is a shame, but I use the email notification feature to let me know when a post i`m interested in has been replied to. Not ideal, but better than nothing.

Really strange, this post has been plastered all the over the net in a vast number of forums, so obviously done by a bot.

I wonder what the purpose is? Unless it's a way of finding forums that the bot can automatically post to, in order to start creating spam posts.
