76  Using Arduino / LEDs and Multiplexing / Re: Hc595 7 Segment on: January 28, 2013, 08:04:32 pm
You can open a new tab in the IDE and name it sevenseg.h, then go back to the first tab, include the code
Code:
#include"sevenseg.h"
this is a sample program of printing values on a seven segment display.
Code:
#include"sevenseg.h"
int val=0;
void setup(){
  sevensegpins(13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7);
  common_cathode(true);
}
void loop(){
  val=(analogRead(0));
  val=map(val, 0, 1023, 0, 9);
  sevenseg(val);
}

YOu can drive it with a transistor or MOSFET

If it is, you can use a transistor or MOSFET.

Why don't you use the "map" function? analogRead the footpedal when you aren't stepping on it, write it down, the analogRead it when you press it all the way down, then
Code:
val=analogRead(A0);
val=map(val, reading_when_not pressed, reading_when_pressed_all_the_way_down, 0, 1023);

It will help
82  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / Re: Where can I find gray LCD (like the one in a calculator) on: January 28, 2013, 08:36:18 am
You mean a seven segment LCD display like this:

Maybe you can record a macro.

I'm gonna go to Phillipines for holiday, it would be nice to meet you there.

Awesome! I could do that for my birthday party!

You must be careful when that happens. It means there's a short circuit somewhere.

The TX and RX leds only flash when your uploading a sketch.

The green led? YOu mean the TX and RX leds?
89  Using Arduino / Motors, Mechanics, and Power / Re: Running a DC motor with PWM on: January 25, 2013, 08:09:37 pm
If you don't need to change dirrection, just get a MOSFET, something like the IRF540N, you will always het it to do what you want it to do.

So are you getting an UNO or a Leonardo?
