1  Products / Arduino Esplora / How to replace the slide potentiometer? on: March 08, 2013, 10:28:00 am
Hi Guys,

I bought my Arduino Esplora from RadioShack when I went to U.S. But it seems the slide potentiometer is broken by my mistake. I can't find anything about that potentiometer model or brand. Any idea where I can find the same one for replacement?

I really love my Esplora, I don't want it to be sick.

Thanks,
Tony

Really nice work!

No, I'd say you could may your pins to those of the Esplora.  Get MISO, MOSI, SCK pins mapped, power, ground, there is a chip select that you map.  The LED pins on your display you can pull high or low as you need.

I saw a HC4050M on Adafruit TFT LCD board, is that required?

Hey Guys,

I have a 1.8" TFT LCD screen, the pin statement is attached. I'm wondering how it can be connected with Arduino Esplora? Need a HEX converter like 74HC4050D to bridge the pins?

Hey guys,

I got this error message in the attachment when I downloaded a blink sketch for Arduino Due. Have you ever seen this before?

     How to fix?

Thanks,
Tony
8  Products / Arduino Due / Compare with other Arduino Boards on: November 02, 2012, 03:32:31 am
Dear All,

Compare with other great released Arduino boards, what can we implement on Arduino Due for advantages?
Like installing Linux operating system on it?

I think a missing crystal is a huge difference. Especially for people who wanted to use the SAMs RTC.

Yes, well if they added the crystal I'd have to agree that it makes a difference, but they have removed it so there will not be any support for using it. Has someone actually gotten a board with the crystal? If then it's just a very small number of boards that has it.

(Don't get me wrong, I'd like the crystal too. But I'm sure they had their reasons for removing it.)
The RTC can be used just without the cystal you can choose in the register to use external or internal clock

Good to know.

Thanks, man.

What's on the website is the latest version we have.
There might be some tiny difference between the eagle and the picture. we made some last minute housekeeping before releasing the last batch.
(sometime pictures are taken on a version of the board which is not exactly the one that comes out of production. in these cases we update the pictures as soon as we get the chance)

Thank you sir. Hoping get updates soon.

"I'm going to manufacture few pieces of Due PCB boards"

Why?

Because I can't buy it, "Not in Stock".

Hey guys,

I'm going to manufacture few pieces of Due PCB boards, but I'm really confusing about this above. The small chip 74LVC1G125DCK has been moved to left bottom corner. Seems that's the right position.

The current EAGLE file released on Due production page matches the second one board in that picture. So it's not the latest one.

Hope Arduino team release the latest one soon.

Best,
Tony

Hey guys,

I found there are some differences between the new/old Arduino Due photos on Due product page. The position of IC10 is different. Why its

Is that possible to get the latest Rev 3 one?

Thanks,
Tony

Thanks, so I only need to burn the bootloader for ATmega16u2, right?
