do you have a current link for the Developers Forum? The link I had bookmarked is now broken, and I can't see one using google.
http://arduino.cc/pipermail/developers_arduino.cc/

https://groups.google.com/a/arduino.cc/forum/#!forum/developers

I've just set up a redirect, but still have to recover the old archive to keep online as historical reference.

I just wanted to let you know that ever since the upgrade I'm getting multiple bad security certificate warnings whenever I try to login from my Android

The issue has already been identified and the reason is related to embedded files included into the page, still an effective solution has to be implemented but we are working on this.
Thanks for the alert.

You have to consider that now the Arduino Forum is far more visible and easily reachable by people visiting other parts of *.arduino.cc. I can easily figure the mass of people that, reading the Arduino Blog, tried to explore the (massive) menu on top of the page and found for the first time the link to the Forum (which has always been smaller and hidden in the minimal grey bar).
Expect an increase in traffic, here ;-)

the "you have xx messages" bit seems to have gone walkabout as well smiley-sad

Thanks to this message I noticed yet another issue...

Now the number of pending incoming PMs is shown near your avatar in top header. Not only on the forum, but also on all other parts of the Arduino platform.
Moving the mouse on top of it, from the drop down menu the "Messages" item permit you to reach your messages panel.

The reply editor is still only 2 lines tall on IE10, and there is no option to resize it.

This has been fixed yesterday, and many users already confirmed.
Please be sure to refresh the cache in your browser, the updated CSS file has to be downloaded. Sometime pressing Ctrl+F5 (instead of F5 only) helps.

The Unread / Replies links are coming ;-)

And... here we are.
Do you prefer them just in homepage or on top of every page?

Other recent fixes are mostly related to Store and Playground. Quite a busy day...

Most recent fixes:
- infinite scroll toolbar (thanks matthijskooijman for the hint ;-) )
- font size in preview

Please enforce a reload of contents, especially CSS, refreshing pages with Ctrl+F5 in your browser.

The Unread / Replies links are coming ;-)

Two default lines for editing are not enough.

Now better?

Ok, I see lots of failures listed here...

Keep calm and:
1) please avoid duplicate existing alerts (more posts to read, more time to collect issues, more time to solve)
2) please post alerts in the existing dedicated thread to avoid scattering comments all over the forum (more threads to read, more time to collect issues, more time to solve)
3) if you identify issues related to bad rendering on different browser, please inform us about type and version of the involved browsers

Often big changes are followed by big breaks: help us to track them correctly and we will be able to fix them as quick as possible.
Thanks for patience.

We are going to publish a complete redesign of the arduino.cc web services, and we would like to obtain from you some feedback, and alerts about things broken in the process (you know, the Murphy's Law...).
Post in this thread your comments!

Today we had the second major outage in three days, this time worse than before due affected also the main site arduino.cc and triggered some collateral problem.

Cause of the issues has still to be found, but the two best candidates are
1) DoS attack from unknow source
2) major web traffic driven to the Arduino Blog (hosted on the same server of Arduino Forum)

August vacation of a sysadmin are not so relaxed...

All is fine now, probably an operational hickup.  Move along folks smiley-wink

Major emergency has been recovered today, situation is still not perfect but mostly tollerable.
A mixture of overloaded databases, failing replications and badly configured caches has exploded with results you observed.

Probably later today some other minor issues may happen due final tuning, please be patient and provide alerts about other issues you may find in your daily usage.
44  Community / Website and Forum / Re: What happened to labs.arduino.cc? on: April 24, 2013, 09:31:26 am
either down or just showing an nginx page

An error in configuration, now should be fine.

Please, report this kind of issues by mail at webmaster@arduino.cc . I'm not every day (or even every two days...) on the forum.
45  Community / Website and Forum / Re: Playground down on: April 10, 2013, 09:32:48 am
It was very strange. I could not access it from home, but if I took my laptop and went a couple of kilometers to a friend of mine I had no problems.

Problem should be solved. Just a badly assigned IP not routed by some (but not every) ISP.
It may happen again, please notify me (writing to webmaster@arduino.cc , I do not regularly read the forum) in that case.

Thanks grendle to help me collecting important informations usefull to identify and solve the issue.
