Hi,

I see your post in Arduino Forum.

I want to get data from serial port, so I used this code to arduino:

int potPin = 0;

void setup()
{
  Serial.begin(9600);
}

void loop()
{
  int val = map(analogRead(potPin), 0, 1023, 0, 255);
  Serial.println(val);
  delay(1000);
}

And this code to python:

import serial
ser=serial.Serial(port='COM3',timeout=3)
s=ser.read(100) #reading up to 100 bytes
print s

When I connect the arduino to the serial port, python show 4 values from the serial port. But, if a run the code in python again, occurs this error:

raise SerialException("could not open port %s: %s" % (self.portstr, ctypes.WinError()))
serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port COM3: [Error 5] Access denied.

Can you help me?

Thanks

4  Using Arduino / Installation & Troubleshooting / Re: [HELP] Launch4j - An error occurred while starting the application. on: July 10, 2013, 09:42:38 am
Hi,

I am using Arduino Mega 2560 R3, running on Windows 8 Pro 64bits.

Every time I want to open the Arduino 1.0.5, it will take time and in the end the popup error of "Launch4j - An error occurred while starting the application." showed.

I have tried some suggestions from this forum such as editing the preferences.txt, using a.cmd, install/reinstall, but the same issue still occurred.

So, anyone have any possible solutions to solve this issue?  smiley-cry

Thank you very much.

i want develop a system that permit connect the arduino to a PC and an iPhone at the same time. In other words, i don't want any physical connection, only wireless. I'm not sure if is possible because i think that 802.15 and 802.11 work in diferentes frequences.
For exemple, create a small program in android to re-programing arduino, by wireless, not bluetooth.

Can you help me?
