anyone?

if you use normal serial with tv out it will glitch the display when a byte comes in cause of interrupts, least on a 328p, I have not tried it with the 644p but I imagine the results would be the same
4  Using Arduino / Displays / TV Out Library, 644p and two Serial Ports on: December 28, 2013, 08:10:14 pm
I am using a atmega 644p with a modded mighty 1284 core and no bootloader. I have TV out working fine with one serial port using the pollserial library that comes with the TV out library.

BUT!

I would like to use both serial ports on the chip, and at first glanced, totally stumped how to do it without messing up TV output.

Any advice?

Thanks.

oh that's just your overly libtard professor indoctrinating you into the communist democratic party (ducks and runs)

(before anyone jump up my bum, I am highly moderate)

people around here don't understand "curiosity"

or facts or experience but ya know, words and stuff

while in theory we have been there, in the real world we have been there, and its why most things that need any significant distance, response time or reliability use radio (ie where is the IRDA port on a galaxy III, its not missing cause its costly)

I think the difference is superpowers vs some guy that owns what he can reach with a rag tag gang and a pickup truck

might be, have not looked into them
10  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / Re: Controlling VFD Display on: September 02, 2013, 12:39:03 am
VFD's require a stout voltage as well, they are basicly florescent cold cathode tubes, looking at ~ 60 volts maybe more?

you can make large 7 segment LED displays out of multiple LED's per segment, heck I make a 6*9 7 segment display out of cardboard and gluesticks, though you dont want that in daylight, maybe some super bright LED's and accrylic rods cut up is a more reasonable option

course then there is TVout, just plop your data on a big TV screen

digital pots are very limited with how much current passes though them, and they are not smooth, they typically have a number of steps between min and max

like an 8 bit one would have 255 steps, which may or may not be smooth enough

but yes its an option
12  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / Re: Hand controlled everything. How do I start? on: September 02, 2013, 12:31:28 am
the easiest start if I read this right is a nintendo power glove

each finger has a switch and connecting nintendo controllers is dead simple

read the section in memory, change it, and save it back

which lib are you using, it seems kind of complicated with SDFATlib, might not be possible with the standard library included, dont know I never use it

yea the basic type of transistors could have adverse effects, getting into DTL can be a brain bender if you are not prepared for it.

what did you use?
 how is it wired ?

its like a reality show, speak up and you might be next? Your asking someone that has to constantly battle their borders to keep their country as good as it is, to pressure some madman tied to a faction of nutjobs ... only good could come from that.

what to do? F if I know, that is why I am not in foreign policy

Should the US do something? we already have, and someone crossed that line, now what, more world police?

sigh
