really what are they going to do with the current version?

make it smaller?
put a mini/micro usb on it?
fix the pin headers (way too late for that)
maybe put a giant arse warning on pin 13 saying this resistor / led is not in series

its honestly a waste of time to speculate, dont get me wrong, get all hot and frothy over whatever, but seriously ... 32

its cool we understand

BUT! for the record you can post your first post with no links, and then go back and edit it to add links saving you having to make "one of these post's"

of course this does you no good now but maybe someone else will see the information

hello and welcome

well maybe you could do the sock with the antenna in the middle, I know motorized antenna's are pretty reasonable in price

Next from Lucasfilms, digital film mulching.

yea OK I had just woke up (by my mutant kitten biting the fire out of my toe) and firefox did its little red line thing

BUT! lets be real here the prequels were compost (wah NOOOOOOOO! haha)

I like the fan idea but its going to be difficult to keep that rigid while boffering, unless you use a strong fan, but then I dont know if whir = wosh / vomp in the sound department
3233  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: Real light sabre on: September 11, 2010, 11:38:06 am
I think Lucas arts used film composting  smiley-razz

I dunno maybe if you took a laser beam and had a complicated mirror setup so they would intersect  ... kinda like multiplexing a led matrix? (then you would still have a zillion laser dots on the wall and shoot someones eye out)

digikey and many others still cary new model z80's (like 5 bucks for a 8mhz)

I want to say jameco has a cpu (and probably others) that pulls up when you search for 6502 and has 8080's in stock

so yea they are still out there
3236  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: mm verses inches on: August 23, 2010, 01:39:27 pm
i dunno I got Google calc to spit it up when the 2.54 mm came into play, and of course now I cant get it to do it

all I know is base 12 and fractions is a serious pain in the butt
3237  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: mm verses inches on: August 23, 2010, 12:57:46 pm
heh see its mind boggling

0.1 = 1/10 of an inch which is 1/64th of an inch

who the * thought this crap up

(and yea its still 2.54mm)
3238  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: mm verses inches on: August 23, 2010, 12:07:39 pm
what is .1 inch, imperial doesn't use decimal guess you mean 1/64th, course being in the age where every single thing is displayed on a digital screen what are you going to do

it really is complicated, meanwhile metric continues to be 2.54mm, maybe that is why most of the world accepts it for daily use, and science demands it
3239  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Bar Sport / Re: mm verses inches on: August 22, 2010, 07:51:41 pm
not to derail the thread but there was a recent story on slashdot

apparently they have been screwing it up so bad students are failing to grasp the actual meaning of the = sign

http://news.slashdot.org/story/10/08/13/1315237/US-Students-Struggle-With-Understanding-of-the-Equal-Sign

and () no longer means do this first, it apparently means X

of course I have seen what it takes to be a teacher in the US, and the future does not look bright (one of my friends is a teacher, after most of a 4 year degree, which was with only about 60% being there, and the most of that time they were under the influence)

if he can fudge being a teacher for 5 years he gets a 5 year contract, which rolls him into a 10 year contract

to me I prefer the metric system, its a royal pain in the ass to remember 10 an 18/32

but I know I am a minority
