Ladyada has a bunch in stock too if ever Sparkfun is out again tomorrow.

Assembly you said heh? Maybe you could come into the project by releasing a little tutorial/howto on getting started with Assembly on an AVR for the ASM neophytes? I can't speak for others but I'd totally digg it! Learning assembly is one of the reason I got into uC's, I just never ended up doing it :/

I have a few laying around. I'll try very soon and see what I can do. Do they die mostly when they are all on, or at any rate? My first guess would be current, what are you using as power source?

Hello drsynister, wow what school to you go to? I must enlist (actually I'm signing up at ETS in January, yay back to school! ;o)

Here's my answer though: if you want the easy way around, yeah just buy a prebuilt device and mod it. If you're looking to impress a teacher, it is possible to interact with a Prism2 wifi card (a/b only). The Procyon AVRLib has a driver that would probably work with the Arduino with very little modifications. But don't expect it to be a smooth road.

Hope this helps.

Did you forget to switch the jumper to external power mode?

How many amps can it handle?

There are many online. This one is nice if you want bipolar motors.

I'd suggest you read in whole the article that Jones has put up online and that was linked in the Stepper tutorial.

In the same line. It would be very neat for the main site to have a page containing a change log of the different board versions (and their revisions). I guess each "type" (Mini, BT, etc) would need its own changelog. The circuit for each revisions and maybe even steps that can be taken to upgrade or partly upgrade each boards (like how to make an NG support soft-reset – Diecimila). It would definitely remove some confusion. I know there is the Hardware page, but it seems to be more of a gathering of hardware information rather than a specific changelog.

What do you guys think?

P.S. This sort of brings the question, couldn't the Arduino project benefit from moving to a Trac environment? Wiki pages can easily link to Subversion entries for the IDE or schematics, are versioned. It's easy for people to enter tickets.

N.B. Maybe this entry would be better placed in the Dev. board :?

My 2 cents (for what it's worth smiley-wink
