46  Using Arduino / Sensors / Increase delay time(Reading a Potentiometer) on: April 24, 2013, 10:30:57 pm
Hi to all,

I have connected potentiometer to arduino as per instruction and all the stuff are working very well, but in this m getting max one second of delay. i want variation between 1-10 sec if possible. also i have triad with all value potentiometer (1k, 22k, 47k, 100k)

http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Potentiometer

thanks,

Thanks for reply,

But of course the mega8 chip would have to have the proper bootloader code and fuse settings burned into the chip before it could work with the board and the arduino IDE.

my question is, how to burned proper bootloader code in mega8, i have directly purchased form market, do i need to follow some process before using on Atmega328 board,

and my ans of second question is,

First off all i ll load program from arduino board 328 and removed Atmega8
(why i want to use atmega8 bcoz of my program size is 1kb only and atmega8 is much cheaper than 328 so i dont want to spend 328 for this small code, and ya i dont have atmega8 board to load programm thats y i want to use 328 board.)
and by this method i ll get out put form mega8

thanks.

Hi,

Just i want to know, Can we use ATmega 8 on arduino328 board??

also tell me how to make arduino board more portacle, i dont want ISP header or USB header just i want DIGITAL pins 1-13 only. like i want to run

reloaded program.

50  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / How to Create logic on: March 07, 2013, 10:25:34 pm
Hi,
Now I am working on Logical project, Let me explain what I want to do,
I have 4 inputs
INPUT 1, INPUT 2, INPUT 3, INPUT 4 (I Don’t know where to give input/Which pin of arduino can use as input)
Now I want output at PIN ** (I don’t know where to receive Output/which pin of arduino can use as output)
I need output at output pin after some time like I want to add “Wait (1000)” like at every pin,
Eg: if I am give input at pin **, receive output at pin** after some particular time.
Now I want to create logic, like if PIN** & PIN** high than PIN**  should HIGH
Please guide me how to create this logic.

Hi PaulS,

Same here  m also confused about this behavior,

already defined "Arduino.LOW" but i dont know why alll pins are giving high output..

First of all thanks for interest,

i am working on one project in which i want to control relay by key board,

like when i press key "A" than pin 1 should on, i have completed this project by StandardFirmata which is available in example,

first(befor this problem) after uploading StandardFirmata to my arduino board all pins giving low output at the start up,

but now my all pins giving high(5v) at startup , even without any control through firmata test application.

yesterday  it was working perfectly.

Code:
import processing.serial.*;

import cc.arduino.*;

Arduino arduino;

color off = color(4, 79, 111);
color on = color(84, 145, 158);

int[] values = { Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW,
 Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW,
 Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW, Arduino.LOW };

void setup() {
  size(470, 200);

  println(Arduino.list());
  arduino = new Arduino(this, Arduino.list()[0], 57600);

  for (int i = 0; i <= 13; i++)
    arduino.pinMode(i, Arduino.OUTPUT);
}

void draw() {
  background(off);
  stroke(on);

  for (int i = 0; i <= 13; i++) {
    if (values[i] == Arduino.HIGH)
      fill(on);
    else
      fill(off);

    rect(420 - i * 30, 30, 20, 20);
  }
}

void keyPressed(){
  int pin = -1;
  if( key == 'a' || key == 'A' ){
    pin = 0;
  }
  if( key == 'b' || key == 'B' ){
    pin = 1;
  }
  if( key == 'c' || key == 'C' ){
    pin = 2;
  }
  if( key == 'd' || key == 'D' ){
    pin = 3;
  }
  if( key == 'e' || key == 'E' ){
    pin = 4;
  }
  if( key == 'f' || key == 'F' ){
    pin = 5;
  }
  if( key == 'g' || key == 'G' ){
    pin = 6;
  }
  if( key == 'h' || key == 'H' ){
    pin = 7;
  }
  if( key == 'i' || key == 'I' ){
    pin = 8;
  }
  if( key == 'j' || key == 'J' ){
    pin = 9;
  }
  if( key == 'k' || key == 'K' ){
    pin = 10;
  }
  if( pin != -1 && pin < values.length ){
    if (values[pin] == Arduino.LOW) {
      arduino.digitalWrite(pin, Arduino.HIGH);
      values[pin] = Arduino.HIGH;
    } else {
      arduino.digitalWrite(pin, Arduino.LOW);
      values[pin] = Arduino.LOW;
    }
  }
}

Hi,

Now m working with firmata, after successfully completion of all the project i switched off my board,

after next day when i powered on bored , all pin giving high value.

my board giving reverse response.

 means in firmata , all pins should be low at starting but here m getting all pins high, and when in firmata test application m pressing low then my all pins getting high and when m pressing high my all pins giving 0 output.

Hi,

Thanks for your intrest

Just go to processing.org n download tab,

U ll get all link like 64bit and 32 bit

Open software and download library for firmata.....

I followed all the steps but same problem.... no success.....

Actually i have completed this project on printer port output but now i want to move on usb.

Will u make this for me..( i u can than its good for me, caz i have to submit ma project before weekend)

Again thanks

Thank,

M newbie...i dont know advanced programming..

Even i tried with processing also.... but no success.....

Just i can modify code asper my requirements...... my project is control relay by keyboard
.....mean press "A" key to on relay and "a" to off.

Dear,

Will u help me to find source code for firmata test application?

i have downloaded vb application + source code . but i dont know its not working.

i need firmata_test source code ,

previously i have downloaded code from below mentioned link. but its not working. means i compiled code on vb but m not getting any output.

http://www.acraigie.com/programming/firmatavb/default.html

or please suggest me some other method to control relay by keyboard.

Hi,

just i would like to control relay form keyboard...by asci.

currently m controlling my relay by standerd method.. like m uploading standard firmata

to arduinno board and controlling from firmata_test.exe.

can anyone help me????
