I have an arduino uno board and running windows 7.  I have installed the latest drivers for USB. 
I have checked on other computers and both the hardware and software are working properly, but whenever I try it on my computer it it comes up with this error message.  And that includes running the example "Blink" file.

"Binary sketch size: 1,084 bytes (of a 32,256 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x30"
