46  Using Arduino / Project Guidance / Arduino Alarm using EPABX Intercom system. on: May 25, 2013, 04:21:02 am
Hi all, I need help in my New Project actually i need a Alarm system that do alarm when two things happens 1. is Smoke detection and      2. is Temperature. ok i have arduino uno and my planning is that i want to use my Intercom system that currently in use for calling to a predefined Telephone number when arduino gets triggered from temperature or smoke detector it automatic make call to a predefined telephone number can some one help me to point out the solution ? please give response to this .

Ok thanks all Now i found the reason > Using delay() has a (usually not intended) sideeffect - the Arduino does nothing for that while. To get two or more "actions" to run independent of each other, you can not use delay().

We know:

    The loop() runs endlessly and very fast.
    digitalRead will look at the input at the time it is called only, likewise digitalWrite and output.
    delay() will wait - it stops everything (except interrupts) while we count the milliseconds

Thanks all to giving information and thanks arduino Playground .

ok i will try it thanks. currently i am trying to combine the blinking led and serial print program. and the problem is when i put delay in blink the next command of serial print is trigger after that delay period.

Hi, gapan You given perfect answer that line of code ,
Code:
digitalWrite(relay1, HIGH);
actually worked for me thanks and my problem solved ..Bye.

60  Topics / Device Hacking / How to use ATMEGA 328 out of the Arduino Board for some Project ? on: April 19, 2013, 12:51:05 pm
Hello I need help about how i can use Atmega 328 Chip out of the arduino uno board for some project ? also i have tried that Blinking LED example with Proteus ISIS but the rate of Blinking led is very slow and actual blinking rate is very high on arduino board why this is happens ? please tell me.
for example i am using LDR based Relay control using Arduino UNO, 10k Resistor, LDR  and Realy Board. it is working perfectly with arduino but not in Proteus simulation i am using following code.

Code:
void setup() {
//pinMode(4, OUTPUT);
pinMode(12, OUTPUT);
//Serial.begin(9600);
}

void loop(){
//digitalWrite(4, HIGH);
if(analogRead(0) < 590){
digitalWrite(12, LOW);
delay (10000);
} else{
digitalWrite(12, HIGH);
delay (100);
//Serial.println(analogRead(0));
}
}

Please look into attached image for Circuit.
