1  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: What now? Both PIN and PUK are locked. Help ASAP. on: August 12, 2014, 02:22:58 am
PinManagement example has a bug. Surely, your SIM isn't locked.

Activate debug mode replacing line GSM gsmAccess; with GSM gsmAccess(true); and see AT commands to look where sketch stops.

The band configuration is saved permanently in modem memory. You can select 1900 band and the modem always will use it.

The network is rejecting your SIM. You should contact with your company to check this problem.

client.stop() should work. this function sends a +++ and AT+QICLOSE command, you should see it with the debug mode activated. After of this execution, you could establish a new connection to your server.
5  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: AT+QNITZ=1 on: June 20, 2014, 01:27:08 am
May be. Arduino hasn't time management. You have to do it manually.

You could make an adapter to a similar library like this:
(This library access to a time server to update time).
7  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: gsmAccess.begin() problem on: June 16, 2014, 01:50:34 am
Replace line "GSM gsmAccess();" with "GSM gsmAccess(true);" to activate debug mode.
8  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: GSM Shield doesn't connect: CGREG: 0,2 on: June 16, 2014, 01:48:51 am
The CGREG response is a response received directly from modem, and it receives this from network antenna. While library doesn't hang or freeze itself, the reason of problem of CGREG is network takes too much time to allow your SIM.

c is a char that is read from circular buffer of the library. c is each character.

When you receive a SMS message, it content is saved in a circular buffer to be read by sketch.

It's possible time was in UTC

If you are using a BlueVia SIM, call service won't work.
12  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: Official Arduino GSM Shield Rev 3 + UNO - cannot start gsmAccess.begin() on: June 02, 2014, 02:20:16 am
Look at LED indicators of the shield. Which were their status?
13  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: What are the RX/TX pins the GSM library uses in the Mega2560 on: June 02, 2014, 01:52:14 am
These are the pins used:

Transmission pin: 3
Receive pin: 10
Receive interrupt: 4
14  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: Arduino GSM Shield Sending SMS Messages not Working on: May 28, 2014, 02:16:19 am
AT+CMGS command have to reponse +CMGS: <number>, or a +CMS ERROR: <err> if an error occurred. In that output, the response isn't printed. Try to see it.

I don't know if you use BLUNO, it'll influence serial connection. I have never work with BLUNO. Anyway, it could be a timing problem in the GSM library for this board.

I have an idea, you could put LED blinks in each part of sketch to see in which part (how many blinks have happened) sketch stops or fails.
