You have to change the '#define' called __RXPIN__ in GSM3SoftSerial.cpp file in GSM Library.

Ex: #define __RXPIN__ 10

Look at leds indicators. Power LED is ON? Network LED is blinking slowly, or fastly?

The GSM3 library has an error. It includes HardwareSerial.h instead of Arduino.h in some classes. I fixed it.
You can download it in this URL: http://arduinoshield.tid.es/GSMLibrary/GSM3.zip

Hi,

Yes, it is possible. You can use the MakeVoiceCall to learn how do you call. Then, you have to buy a temperature sensor and read it value in your sketch. There are many tutorials with a wide range of sensors and examples.

Execute ReceiveSMS example including a parameter 'true' in gsmAccess to activate debug mode.

Ex: GSM gsmAccess(true);

Post the output, please.

What SIM are you using? Did you connect pins 2 and 10?
37  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: help please connecting arduino uno to an android phone using GSM on: March 24, 2014, 02:18:58 am
The SIM obtain a IP address when connects to GPRS, this IP address is a private IP if you use a M2M SIM (as BlueVia SIM included with shield). You can use a SIM from the operator that you prefer. If you want to use BlueVia SIM included, you have to visit arduinoshield.tid.es to buy a internet package. For some operation with the shield, you haven't to visit any site.
ok if I'm using this GSM do I need special code on the phone application or the same as using wifi  , I mean does the code on the application differs if I used the GSM from when using wifi. ?.

I don't get what do you want to say. Could you explain more deeply?

Hi,

Execute the sketch replacing the line:

GSM gsmAccess;

with:

GSM gsmAccess(true);

Post your serial output.

You have to add your country code to telephone number (for example: +44123456789)

Can you send or publish here your code to help you?

It may be a suppressor diode.
43  Products / Arduino GSM Shield / Re: What are the appropriate AT commands to send data to a server ? (not HTTP) on: March 18, 2014, 02:19:55 am
When you are connected to GPRS network, you have to use AT+QIOPEN to establish the connection with server, and AT+QISEND to send the data, the data must be in the format of protocol that you want use.

For more information, see M10 manual: http://arduino.cc/en/uploads/Main/Quectel_M10_datasheet.pdf

You can input commands directly through serial monitor with this sketch:

Code:
#include <SoftwareSerial.h>
#include <string.h>

char incoming_char = 0;
SoftwareSerial cell(2,3);

void setup()
{
  // Initialize serial ports for communication.
  Serial.begin(9600);

  // Reset
  Serial.println("Start Reset");
  pinMode(7, OUTPUT);
  digitalWrite(7, HIGH);
  delay(12000);
  digitalWrite(7, LOW);
  delay(1000);
  Serial.println("End Reset");

  cell.begin(9600);

  Serial.println("Enter your AT commands (with CR & NL)...");
  /*cell.println("AT+CFUN=4");
  delay(500);
  cell.println("AT+CFUN=4");
  delay(500);
  cell.println("AT+CFUN=4");
  delay(500);
  */
}

void loop()
{
  if(cell.available() > 0)
  {
    incoming_char = cell.read();
    if((incoming_char >= ' ') && (incoming_char<='z'))
      Serial.print(incoming_char);
    else
    {
      Serial.print("%");
      Serial.print((int) incoming_char);
      Serial.print("%");
      if(incoming_char == 10)
        Serial.println();
    }
  }

  if(Serial.available() > 0)
  {
    incoming_char = Serial.read();
    cell.print(incoming_char);
  }
}
