2  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Troubleshooting / Arduino software... on: September 20, 2005, 09:50:58 pm
Hi. smiley
Arduino seems not to contain full of files on the folder when I checked the folder after i downloaded arduino software. For this reason, when I start the application, it did not work like wiring application and showed a error massage like this. smiley-sad

Cannot launch Java application

Uncaught exception in main method:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no rxtxSerial in java.library.path

Moreover, I could not quit application after this message. Therfore, I should have used 'Force Quit Applications'.

I do not know maybe I made a mistake or don't know how to start it.

Should I copy arduino files to wiring application?
If it is not, could you tell me how to start it? smiley-sad ???

One more thing, does Arduino boards work with wiring application?

Many thanks. smiley
3  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Troubleshooting / Processing cannot recognise Serial from Arduino. on: November 29, 2005, 12:36:56 am
Hi. Good to see you again. First of all, I really thank for Arduino team. The workshop in London was great experience definately. smiley

Now, I have a problem that Processing cannot recognise Serial from Arduino when I set up everything woth my another computer.

I mean when I exported serial for processing, Processing showed the error message which is:

Devel Library
Native lib Version = RXTX-2.1-7pre17
Java lib Version    = RXTX-2.1-7pre17 Unknown Application

I am using powerbook g4-400, OS X 10.4, Arduino 002, Processing 0091 now.

I saw exact same problem at the workshop. at that time David(has wear grasses smiley) helped me to fix it. He used terminal in application. However, I do not know how to fix it. smiley
Could you help me? smiley I think some people have got same problem like this on mac. Thank you.

Hey! David. Long time no see. How are you doing? This is Seulki.
Wow! this is great to hear. Now I am working in korea. I couldn't extend my Visa. you know horrible political system anyway.

It means that I could see you in May, Korea.
Said is really near my office. smiley I will be there for saying to you hello. smiley

Last time when I meet you and Massimo said having a workshop in Korea will never happen. can you remember it? haha. I knwo at that time Arduino is mainly for a project in Eroupe . smiley

Anyway, Welcome to Korea.

does Massimo also come to Korea?

Hi, Nice meet you. I am interested in doing this.
Maybe you can contact people who already had an arduino workshop in london.
anyway, I am interested in being a participant.

7  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Frequently-Asked Questions / library or exmaple of Servo motor(?) on: January 20, 2006, 02:43:09 pm
I am happy to see exmaple for DC and step motors, but I truly expected to see Servo motor without hacking as well.

Is that any Arduino library for Servo motor like Wiring?
I would like to figuire this out hopely. smiley

Have a great day.

Hello. gianluca. smiley
when I tried to email you, I could not send my email to you. I do not know why.
I only got a delivery message more than twice. smiley-sad
Do you have any other email address?

Wow. That is good news for me. thank you.
If you do not mind, could you tell me which motor you use?

All links are really helpful for me. Thank you very much. smiley
10  Forum 2005-2010 (read only) / Frequently-Asked Questions / DC, Servo or step motor? on: January 06, 2006, 08:44:34 am
Hi, everyone,
Now I am considering about using two motors for my projects. Well, when I visit and find about motor here, only I can see the step motor.

Is it possible to use Dc and Servo as well?

If you say yes, which one would you recommend a good one for arduino?
I can see they are using cheep servo motors on wiring website. Is it possible to use those motor with Arduino and is it powerful enough?

thank you and good day.

Hi. another question for hardware.

Can Arduino board play sound file itself? not only importing and exporting sound from a computer.

I mean that arduino board has a function for save some file itself when I use the board with a power supply?

Thank you.

I see. I guessed it might work with serial ports before getting this reply. smiley
Thank you very much. smiley
If you find that example, It would be great for me. smiley-wink

I am just curious. smiley
