The issue is quite simple and it's due to us not having released version 2 of the software yet
When we manufactured the boards we also made the bootloader much better and fixed a few bugs. We also decided to up the speed of the bootloader to 19200 bauds to speed up the download of the code. This is supported by Arduino v2 which will be out over the weekend. this adds a lot of improvements and bugfixes.
Sorry for not explaining this clearly on the website, I really thought the new version would be out before people got the new boards.
Everything you do is logged already... on webservers every hit is logged. when you use your gmail google indexes the content , they know what you write... if you're chinese they will openly help the government come after you.. when you shop at supermarkets they log your credit card number, they know what you buy. when you make a phonecall it's logged... when you walk around with your cellphone in your pocket it's logged wherever you go.. it's logged. when you logon to facebook this happens the list goes on and on and on
here it says IP logged it's because it's logged anyway even if nobody writes it
As far as I know the order process has not stopped... but because of the holidays in italy it's a bit slow. expecially today the 15 of august is the day when every single italian is on holiday. i will phone the manufacturer to see what's going on
At the moment that check is done before uploading (the code gets recompiled before uploading) I would like to see that check happening during regular compilation. I plan to make that change for version 5
from a check I made now I think we need only one line of code at line 1310 of file Sketch.java I might be able to make a build this week
Make sure you have a transceiver (MAX485 or similar) to receive the signal then connect it to the RX pin on the Arduino.
setup the serial port for a speed of 250000 bits per second ( Serial.begin(250000) ) then wait for the "break" signal that is a pulse around 800uSec then read a byte from the serial port... if the byte is 0 then the signal is a valid dmx stream...
start reading and throw away bytes until you reach the right address
