remove
Serial.println((byte)tempPin); // send the data to the computer.

tempPin = A0;

try that

Check your pin out - I think it is OUTPUT, +Ve, -Ve

Please post your code

Still, It irritates me when I'm passed by as an engineer because I can give birth to children, both myself and my husband are engineers & I have been called his secretary on more than one occasion, even though I am more qualified, and have more experience than he does.

If it works on breadboard (proteus?) but not on  strip board, it's not going to be you code, post a diagram of you setup, ans a close up photo o both sides of your board.

I would reflash the bootloader or take it back to your Arduino seller and ask them to do it for you.
25  Using Arduino / Microcontrollers / Re: Bootloader with um232r to atmega168 on: March 30, 2014, 06:28:08 am
is the UM232R a usbasp clone? I thought it was a usb to ttl converter!
26  Community / Gigs and Collaborations / Re: help brother , serious project will be real with your help on: March 29, 2014, 02:32:35 pm
2 things . . . I can't be anybody's brother, and 6 Minutes and expecting an answer is unrealistic face to face never mind on a public forum. For your demanding and sexist  attitude, a can give you the code, but you can stick it . . . . . where ever you want
27  Using Arduino / Microcontrollers / Re: Bootloader with um232r to atmega168 on: March 29, 2014, 02:27:52 pm
Ok I'll make it easy

What is a um232r?
what diagram are you using?
what is or is not happening?
what program are you using to do bootloading?
have you connected everything up correctly?
can you take a photo or 2 of your wiring?
28  Using Arduino / Microcontrollers / Re: Bootloader with um232r to atmega168 on: March 29, 2014, 01:19:16 pm
I don't know how to help as you have given us no information at all
