Where is your code & wiring diagram?

I've left my crystal ball at work.

use the yun as a separate 'computer'

I think a YUN would do

Look at the device manager - then plug in the UNO, What changes if anything? do you get the ding-dong of new hardware when it's plugged in? have you tried a new USB lead?

When you have it plugged in, is there ANY hardware you don't recognise

does the power regulator get hot? It is only good for 150mA total power output, you may need an external voltage regulator (I've used the breadboard ones in previous projects) these are good for 1.5 Amp

I've had this problem with bluetooth devices enabled on my laptop - try to disable them and check again.

Pressandhold RESET - plug the nano into your Computer, wait for new device to be detected, open the IDE and blink from the examples menu, click upload, when the sketch size shows, release the reset key.

I found it, It's an ebay item (number 271040846018) , on the product page is a  link to the data sheets - look at P2 - Rx and Tx are there, remember to connect the grounds, power the unit from an external PSU.

Try connecting 5v to RAW on Pro

As no one to date has invented a time machine, I assume its a firmware 'issue' in the RTC itself and was never expected to be set 14 years in the past
