1  Community / Website and Forum / Knock example missing information on: May 06, 2012, 05:19:20 pm
In the Knock example http://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/Knock the resistor is put in parallel with the piezo transducer which might help protect against high current into the analog input but not high voltage (as the example currently states) and is not the reason the resistor is there.  The reason the resistor is there is to act as a pull-down resistor for your analog input so it is not randomly floating, this information should be added to the description.
Thanks!

The NewSoftSerial is now part of Arduino 1.0 the PString and Streaming can be found at http://arduiniana.org
Would be nice if at the download for the WiFlySerial it told you what other libraries you need.

And for anyone using a Arduino that has physical serial connection like the Mini Pro or breadboard Arduino's you can make a connector bridge that doesn't include the DTR pin and it will work without resetting.

Well it looks like I'm not the only one working on this!  I've been working on a OLED library based off of the same old .h file you guys are and found Yot through searching for "which is of non-class type" error I was getting when starting to create a library.  I've been using a uOLED-96-G1 and have most of the drawing functions working when I've got all the commands in a sketch.  Have either of you gotten the text button command to work?
