I had also reinstall the driver but still the error occur...

hi, im am a newbi with arduino and i have a problem in uploading a sketch, i have an arduino diecimila board... before its working well, but yesterday when i try to upload any sketch it displays:

avrdude: stk500_paged_write(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x64
avrdude: failed to write flash memory, rc=-4
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

whats does it mean?
can somebody help me please.... :'(
