the SJSU kids are probably all busy in school using PICs or something..

Noisebridge might have something if you're willing to head all the way up to SF..

i also know a few people at UC Santa Cruz you may be able to convince to teach you a few things.. no formal workshops though..

Hi All,

I'm new here and wanted to post about a workshop I'm running at CrashSpace, a Los Angeles hackerspace.

We're going to be covering Arduino basics and pd basics (maybe also some Max/MSP, depending on demand), and by the end of the workshop, you'll have built a musical instrument using an Arduino and a handful of sensors.

It's a two-day intensive course, so you won't become an expert in either pd or arduino, but you should learn enough to be comfortable exploring your own musical instrument designs.
