Hi,

Thanks for that. That works in this case but my code is going to get very long quick!
Have you got any advice about stripping functions and chunks of code out and putting them in headers?

Thanks

Hi,

Pretty simple question I hope but one that I haven't worked out yet in the sketch environment.

I have two sketches going. Both are working but I want to upload both the arduino. Can one be turned in to a header? What are the conditions of a header?
Do the headers still have setup and loops?

If anyone can point me in the right direction then that would be great.

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

Big thanks to Marcus and everyone for getting this screen up and running. I have got mine working.

I have two questions regarding this screen.

Is there any development on the fonts. I want to use this screen but I want to write to it in really terms and change the font size if possible.

Can some one explain the exact screen layout. It's quite hard to get my head round the exact grid that I can use to position things on the screen.

I might be in the wrong department though if this screen can not handle fonts and such. Should I switch to a KS0108?

Thanks again.

Hi Everyone,

Big thanks to the gLCD crowd for helping me with my random display. It's going to MJ now so he can get it working and post the results.
I am playing with a KS0108 now which is Pin Out B, not because I have the manual but because the display lights up that way around!

I am getting garbled pixels. Piccy.

Anyone seen this before.

Thanks

Thom

Hi thanks for this.

I'll pursue the Nokia route as that seems to be a common one.

Just to mention when I brought this display I got two PDF manuals and all the code to get it working with a PIC18.
Now if I was a smarter lad I could work with this and get it running with my arduino..... sadly not.
I can show people if you want. It's all in a 418k zip.

So say I bail on this gLCD and get a very arduino supported one. What do you recommend?

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone got any experience with these LCD drivers? I want to drive on from my Duemilanove.

Hi Guys,

Big thanks to people for creating this library. I have a 20x4 LCD which is working fine with the mods mem suggested.

The only problem is that when I try and integrate the LCD functions in to another sketch I have been working on the text garbles and prints in random locations.

The sketch that I am integrating in to features a DS1307 I2C so uses the wire library. Could that effect the results?

Thanks

Hi,

I can't seem to find a data sheet that seems right for this LCD.

I have found a data sheet for the same part number but it doesn't match as the pin out swaps the Vss and Vdd around. I don't get any thing that way around where as if I follow the pin outs on the arduino pages I get the photo above.

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get a KS0108 gLCD working with my Arduino.

The LCD I have is the one half way down on this page. http://www.pic16.com/en/wzcapi/ql200.htm

I have wired it up using the Pin Method B from the library. I have uploaded the code and I get this.

Has anyone seen this before?

Also my contrast pot doesn't do anything to the contrast.

Thanks

Hi,

Can anyone even point me in the direction of previous gLCD libraries?

Thanks

Hi Everyone,

I'm new here. Coming over from PIC land. I have had this graphical LCD for a while now. It's a cheap eBay thing with lots of numbers and names on it so it's hard to find out what it is. I was sent this link though when I brought it. (link in next post)

Is there a library that can be adapted for this LCD driver?
I have a Duemilanove.

Thanks
